About Paulina

Art has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.

My earliest memories are filled with colors and creativity—painting turtles, creating a parrot in pointillism, and even exhibiting in an art show at just eight years old in Mexico. When I moved to the United States, art became my refuge, a language I could speak fluently even when words failed me.

No matter how many times I tried to follow a different path, art always found me. From university—where I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Bachelor of Art History at UTSA—to unexpected moments like a pumpkin decorating contest at work, creativity was always calling me back. But it wasn’t until I read The Artist’s Way (for the second time) that I truly understood why. I realized that my creativity wasn’t just a skill—it was something meant to be shared, something that made life feel more vibrant, more magical.

With that realization, I packed my bags and traveled to Florence, immersing myself in the world of art and honing my craft. My artistic style blends magical realism with expressive brushstrokes, inspired by dreams, nature, and the hidden meanings within both. I use oil, acrylic, and mixed media to bring my visions to life, always chasing that feeling of wonder and discovery.

About the Work

My work is deeply influenced by music, poetry, and literature. The hauntingly beautiful lyrics of Noah Kahan, Taylor Swift, and Florence and the Machine fuel my creativity, while fantasy books and art legends like Jenny Saville, Caravaggio, Artemisia Gentileschi, and John Singer Sargent inspire my approach to light, texture, and storytelling.

My goal is to invite my viewers into a world of self-discovery, reflection, and a little bit of magic. Whether through original paintings, murals, or expanding into prints and merchandise, I want my art to reach those who, like me, believe in the beauty of symbolism, storytelling, and emotion.

My dream? To see my work exhibited in Italy, the place where I truly embraced this journey. Until then, I’m creating, learning, and sharing the magic of art with those who feel called to it.
